How To Change Kitchen Range Hood Grease Filter Charcoal Pad (Locked Type): |
Warning: Safety goggles and rubber gloves are highly recommended. |
There are two types of non-ducted range hood filters: locked-type (w/, w/o lens) and open-type.
1. |
Locate the frame connection lock. |
| |
2. |
Insert a flat head screwdriver and turn it slowly to open the lock.
The turning direction will be from the lock hole to the frame corner.
| |
3. |
The lock can be opened very easily. Do not straighten the lock tongue.
Always keep it in its original angle (45°±), so that it will lock itself automatically when you reassemble the frames.
You can reuse it again and again by keeping it untouched (45°±).

Reinstall all components. You will notice that our pad is denser and stronger than OEM pad. |
7. | When pushing the "sandwich" back into the aluminum frames, you may need to squeeze it in. |
a. Place a book or wood block on the floor first. The block size should be smaller than the pad.
b. Lay the “sandwich” down, and press it with another block (or steel ruler) from the top.
c. Push the frames in, and secure it with a binder clip, or fasten with some wires temporally.
d. Press the frame tightly in and locked.
